The CHP are Asking the Public for Help in Finding the Motorist in a Hit-and-Run Accident Involving Bicyclist
The California Highway Patrol are asking for the public’s help in finding the motorist in a hit-and-run accident that occurred in the La Presa community of East County San Diego. The incident occurred on April 19th around 8:20 PM when Robert Diaz was riding his bicycle on San Francisco Street and crossed Maria Avenue without stopping for the stop sign. He drove directly into the path of an oncoming pickup truck and was struck. The pickup truck, believed to be a dark green Dodge Ram, sped away after the impact. It is believed that the truck sustained moderate front-end damage from the impact. Mr. Diaz suffered multiple injuries including a broken right leg, a punctured lung, and several lacerations.
